Success Story

In January 2018, FDPS delivered a giant check in the amount of $1,000 to Dubuque Senior High School. These funds, from the Burgart Fund for Dubuque Public School Libraries, were used to purchase items for the Dubuque Senior High School library makerspace. During the visit, FDPS board and staff members introduced students to the idea of philanthropy and explained how individuals like John Burgart can make a lasting, positive impact in the community be becoming a philanthropist.
