About Us

The Family Resource Center’s non-profit arm, Family’s Helping Hand, is committed to ensuring a stable and sustainable future to support both current and future projects. We offer a variety of free services, including a food pantry, clothing center, infant items, outerwear, backpack snack program for school age kids, school supplies, medical adaptive equipment, household basics, furniture, health insurance (Medicaid, Medicare, Marketplace), housing assistance, utility/rent assistance, counseling, domestic/sexual violence advocate, mental health, substance abuse, elderly care, and transportation.

Success Story

In 1999, Family's Helping Hand was formed to support and strengthen families through parenting classes and child advocacy. Over the years, the nonprofit has evolved to address emerging needs throughout Clayton County and beyond. Today, Family's Helping Hand, or more commonly known as the Family Resource Center in Guttenberg, has embraced thousands of individuals and families to stabilize their needs and empower them to take charge of their future.
