Dyersville area nonprofits receive over $25,000
Annual event recognizes local organizations addressing community needs and honors retiring Foundation leader
The Dyersville Area Community Foundation recently recognized the hard work of 14 local nonprofits and charitable organizations, awarding them $25,336 from its annual grant cycle during an event at the Dyersville Golf & Country Club.
The annual event celebrates donors, fundholders and partners whose support has helped inspire people who care deeply about the community to give. The grants awarded will help tackle critical issues, including youth and education, technology needs and community preservation and beautification.
This year’s grant recipients are:

- City of New Vienna for banners on Main
- City of New Vienna/Luxemburg for park flower boxes

Community Foundation leaders also honored executive director Michelle Grover, who will retire this fall to devote time to her children and new grandchildren.
“We were so fortunate to have Michelle with the Community Foundation to continue to move our mission forward over the past several years. She always worked in the best interests of the Foundation,” said chairperson Sheila Tegeler. “She did an amazing job and will be missed by all of us.”
