An in-depth course to help you serve charitable clients
Let us share our expertise in charitable giving to compliment your expertise in financial planning.
Through the CAP Program, you will complete an online course with the American College of Financial Services while participating in an in-person study group facailiatated by our development team.
How it works
The CAP program is a year-long series of courses that teach professional advisors how to best help clients discover the legacies they will leave their families and community.
By integrating the professions of law, accounting, financial services and planned giving, the Community Foundation promotes an inter-disciplinary approach to effectively achieve your clients' goals.
The CAP program involves passing three graduate level courses and meeting for 15 class sessions.
The American College of Financial Services is the nation’s leading educator of professionals in the insurance and financial services industry, providing remote learning throughout the country. More than 2,500 individuals have been awarded the CAP designation since its inception in 2023.
You can sign up for a single course at $2,050 or register for all three courses for $4,495.
Attendance is taken at every class, and all three exams are completed and monitored by a nationally recognized professional testing center. There is also the opportunity to be approved for continuing education credits by receiving this designation.
Our CAP study group program is modeled after the Omaha Community Foundation, which worked with Dubuque native Mark Weber in designing and implementing the study group program.
