The Top 10 Ideas Are In!
More than 300 people joined us at the Dubuque Museum of Art on Thursday, October 16 for The Big Reveal, where we unveiled the top 10 ideas for Dubuque's future, as selected by our fellow community members. Click the tiles below to explore the ideas and learn about the interpretations created by local artists, all of which were auctioned off to support idea implementation.
Next Steps
The ideas are in ... and now the work begins. Join us on Monday, November 10, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Q Casino for Make It Real: Bringing the Envision 2030 Ideas to Life. This is an opportunity to connect with community members and organizatios about how to implement the top 10 ideas and strengthen our region.

About the Project
What is Envision 2030?
Envision 2030 is a community-wide visioning process led by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque and the Dubuque Area Chamber of Commerce. From March through October 2025, we'll engage residents from all walks of life to brainstorm ideas that could become the next big projects to move Dubuque forward.
This grassroots effort is designed to collect ideas without constraints or predetermined themes. Through a collaborative filtering process, we'll narrow thousands of community submissions to 100 ideas, then 30, and finally select 10 transformative initiatives to implement by 2030.
The most crucial aspect of Envision 2030 is that it belongs to everyone. Your voice matters in creating a thriving, vibrant, and inclusive Dubuque.
Get Involved
Host a Brainstorming Session
One of the most meaningful ways to participate in Envision 2030 is by gathering a group and hosting a brainstorming session. Our Visioning Toolkit provides everything you need to facilitate a productive conversation about Dubuque's future.
Consider inviting your church group, service club, workplace team, neighborhood association, or simply a group of friends. Every idea counts, and often the most transformative visions emerge from casual conversations.
