About Us
The Bellevue Public Library is maintained and established according to the local Bellevue ordinance and has a legally appointed library board. It is open 41 hours per week and provides books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, and books on CD. Free public access to computers, the Internet, a fax machine, photocopier and reader printer is available. Programming includes adult and children's programs with an emphasis on summer reading. The library also works closely with the schools and supports the Dolly Parton Imagination Library project. This project ensures that every child in Jackson County is eligible to receive a new book every month from ages 0-5 years of age.
Mission
The mission of the library is to provide the recorded wisdom, experience and ideas of others - in formats assembled, organized and made accessible to all. Computer technology is also utilized to ensure equal access to electronic information for all citize
