Bill Fleming & Dennis Streets Scholarship

The Bill Fleming / Dennis Streets Scholarship has been established in 2018. This post-secondary scholarship will be given annually to a Maquoketa High School graduating boys’ basketball player or team manager who exemplifies character, determination, teamwork and selflessness. The Bill Fleming / Dennis Streets Scholarship is intended to accomplish several things. We hope that this will inspire student athletes and managers the join the MCHS basketball team and to exemplify character, determination, teamwork and selflessness. We feel that these are the characteristics that both Coach Fleming and Coach Street taught and exemplified themselves. Secondly, we hope to inspire students to be exceptional members of our community. This scholarship will not necessarily go to the best player on the team. It will go to someone who has the characteristics outlined in the application. Recipients will show that they currently demonstrate and will model these characteristics in the future. That they will continue to make an impact in our community and to all they come in contact with in the future as they pursue higher education
