About Us
The first Clayton County Fair was held in Garnavillo on October 3, 1854. In the early history of our great country, state of Iowa, and Clayton County, fairs have played an important part in the building of our great agricultural industries. The Clayton County Agricultural Society, DBA: Clayton County Fair, was organized on May 25, 1861.
Mission
The mission of the Clayton County Agricultural Society shall be the preservation of the past, promotion of the present, and education on the future, of agriculture, horticulture, mechanical arts, and rural and domestic economy of the Clayton County community.
