About Us
The Dubuque Senior High School Educational Foundation was founded as a tax-exempt nonprofit corporation in 1992. Its primary objective is to promote the educational needs of our high school students through fundraising efforts. The Foundation makes gifts and grants for high school activities and programs. Through the generosity of our alumni and friends in 2022, the Foundation funded the following: charter buses for college visits, upper level Spanish readers, 58MM Commander Optics Wide + Telephoto Lens & Filters, TI-30 Scientific Calculators, DNA/RNA Protein Synthesis Kits, Carolina Digital, Spectrophotometer, Class Set of Aluminum Tripod Travel Easels, Respect Retreat for all Freshmen, and more.
This fund is endowed, meaning that donations are invested permanently, and the earnings are used to provide classroom resources for current students and teachers at Dubuque Senior High School. Donations to this fund are eligible for the Endow Iowa 25% State Tax Credit.
Mission
Provides annual financial support to further the educational mission of Dubuque Senior High School. Grants and gifts support departments, teachers, students, student groups, school activities, and programs.

The Dubuque Senior Educational Foundation has been key in helping Anatomy & Physiology classes become more hands-on. Before receiving funds from the Educational Foundation, we had standing classroom skeletons, but now we have two disarticulated skeletons that allow students to see and work with individual bones while learning and assessing the skeletal system. This year we were able to purchase small table-top skeletons that can be used during the skeletal system, as well as during other systems when clay is used to model other organs such as muscles and intestines. Teachers and students are incredibly lucky to have our Dubuque Senior Educational Foundation!
