About Us
Since 2000, the Dyersville Area Community Foundation has been connecting donors with the philanthropic causes they love. As an affiliate of the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque, the Foundation is proud to serve Dyersville and the surrounding communities of Earlville, Farley, Luxemburg, New Vienna, Petersburg, and Worthington. Gifts to the Dyersville Area Community Foundation endowment make grantmaking possible in these communities: funding projects ranging from STEM education for youth, Eagle Scout projects; and the arts, culture, and health care services that keep the Dyersville region thriving. We use our own endowment to make grants to local nonprofits. In 2022, we granted $27,000 to help organizations. Recent grants include equipment for the Kids can Cook program at the James Kennedy Public Library, safety gear for fire departments, and educational materials for area schools. We are here to help our caring citizens meet the area's needs, says Shelia Tegeler, DACF Chair. Our growing endowment for annual grants provides assurance that our communities will be blessed for years to come. The DACF Endowment has also been growing thanks to memorial donations. Gifts to the DACF Endowment bless the entire area forever. Foundation Secretary Karla Thompson keeps a supply of memorial envelopes at the Chamber office.
