About Us
The Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level reading focuses on attendance, school readiness, and summer learning. We are made up of a network of businesses, community members, non-profits, foundations, City and County leaders, and schools, committed to helping young children thrive!
The goal of the national Campaign for Grade-Level Reading initiative is to ensure that all children succeed in school and graduate prepared for college, a career, and active citizenship. The Campaign focuses on an important predictor of school success and high school graduation: grade-level reading by the end of third grade.
Mission
A child’s first eight years are the best time to foster positive development, support academic achievement and prepare children for a lifetime of success. The Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level Reading does this by taking a holistic approach to children’s well-being with a keen focus on a key predictor of school success: Reading proficiency by the end of third grade.

In 2015, a group of caring community members and leaders met to discuss the needs of the youth in the Dyersville area. Through a partnership with the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque and with the generous support of an anonymous donor, the Dyersville Campaign for Grade-Level Reading was launched.
Since 2015, there have been relationships forged with area non-profits and businesses, foundations started, a summer enrichment program sustained, and most importantly, children from birth through elementary school supported! We are in a wonderful community where people care, and together, we make an impact!
