About Us
The Guttenberg swimming pool celebrated an outstanding first season in 2019 and community members then launched the Wave of the Future endowment fund to help sustain and enhance it for years to come.

Mission
With the help of a generous founding donor, advisors established the permanent endowment in order to provide a reliable and sustainable source of income. Once an endowment reaches a $10,000 milestone, the fund pays out earnings every year to help support the pool annually.

In our Mississippi River community, each year, more than 200 children learn to swim at the pool. Young famiies introduce their infants and toddlers to water in the zero-depth entry. Adults gather three times daily for lap swim and aerobics. To sustain these community benefits,
fund advisors Deb Moser, Debbie Eulberg, Lori Kann, Bec Knudtson and Al Ullrich helped launch the endowment fund together with a founding donor.
Gifts of $50 or more to endowed funds held at the Foundation are eligible for the Endow Iowa 25% State Tax Credit. This tax credit is in addition to the federal deduction for charitable gifts. Endow Iowa is a financial incentive for individual donors, families, and businesses to create or build endowments to give back to their community.
