Success Story

The dedicated volunteers and members of the Jones County Historical Society have been providing a window to the past for youth and adults alike, since the mid 1970's. Each year we feature tours to several different elementary schools focusing on country school education and local history. For a number of years we have been a co-sponsor of Safe Halloween attracting over 700 kids to our grounds last year. Our Sunday openings have provided genealogists and family historians opportunities to research our records, and have provided excellent venues for back ground and learning about the history of our people and our county.
