Main Street Lansing is an economic development and historic preservation non-profit organization focused on helping the Lansing community thrive. As part of the Main Street Iowa network, Main Street Lansing implements the Four Point Approach when approaching downtown revitalization, making sure projects fall into the categories of Organization, Promotion, Economic Vitality, and Design.

Through our relationship with Main Street Iowa, we have been able to offer free one-on-one business coaching. As COVID-19 recovery continued, multiple individuals expressed interest in starting new businesses. We were able to get them connected with the free coaching, leading to many new businesses on Main Street, with the added benefit of filling vacant storefronts, an action that leads to more vibrancy in the community. We were able to streamline the start-up process for these business owners, as well as providing resources and connections for them as they moved forward.
