About Us

The Raymond G. Schneider Living Endowment for Youth was established in memory of, and in honor of, Raymond G. Rayzor Ray Schneider, life-long resident of Monticello, and tireless supporter of youth programs in the community. Funds for the Endowment are raised through community-participation events and private donations. 100% of proceeds from the investment of these funds go to recipients of awards granted by the Endowment. Two grants will be awarded annually to graduating seniors of Monticello High School.

Mission

The RGSLEY will provide funds to enhance the opportunity for growth and education among the youth of Monticello, helping to empower these young people to achieve lifelong success.

Success Story

Raymond €˜Rayzor Ray' Schneider lived in Monticello his entire life. He married, raised a family and became a successful businessman, taking over ownership of the Monti Barber Center, a successful business started by his father, Marvin, and running it in partnership with his wife, LuAnne. He also became one of the most well-recognized, iconic members of the community, in large part through his support, participation and leadership in Scouting, youth athletics and high school sports and activities. Ray gave much of his time and talents to his community, and the youth of Monticello were the prime beneficiaries of his generosity. Ray was taken from us far too soon, and there can be no more appropriate way to commemorate his memory than through the continuing support of Monticello's youth. The Raymond G. Schneider Living Endowment for Youth provides the perfect vehicle for this goal.
