Clayton County Foundation for the Future awards $20,000 to local nonprofits

From community wellness projects to outdoor recreation, rural communities and nonprofits will receive much needed support for community-enhancing projects thanks to the Clayton County Foundation for the Future and its family of funds. The Foundation announced $20,150 in grants to 23 area nonprofits during a celebration at Guttenberg Brewing Company last week.

“We work with donors, nonprofits and community partners to improve quality of life for the 17,000-plus residents of Clayton County and ensure a strong future for our area,” said Foundation Coordinator Emily Sadewasser. “One important way we fulfill our mission is by supporting individuals, organizations and businesses in setting up endowment funds to benefit nonprofits or charitable causes.”

Endowed funds are invested and annual earnings pay out to support special projects and organization sustainability, forever. The grants awarded last week were made possible by payouts from the Acts 20:35 Blessed to Give Endowment, the Andrea Bockenstedt Live Your Life Endowment, the Clayton County Foundation for the Future Endowment, the Dan Barton Family Endowment, and the Leroy and Colleen Darby Family Endowed Donor-Advised Fund.
