Dyersville Area Community Foundation Awards $15,000 to Support Area Nonprofits

The Dyersville Area Community Foundation (DACF) granted $15,000 to support local nonprofits on Wednesday, October 26 at its annual gifts and grants ceremony.

Six local nonprofits received grants at the reception held at the Dyersville Golf and Country Club in Dyersville.

The following grant winners were announced at the ceremony:

  • Beckman Catholic High School- $3,000 for multipurpose room addition
  • Dyersville Health Foundation - $3,000 for Mercy-Dyersville emergency room department renovation
  • Farley Commercial Club - $1,500 for Memorial Hall accessibility project
  • Farley Volunteer Fire Department - $250 for emergency tools
  • Northeast Iowa Community College Foundation - $3,350 for developing Dyersville entrepreneurship
  • St. Joseph’s Childcare Center - $1,400 for a camera project
  • Western Dubuque Dyersville Elementary - $2,500 for an outdoor classroom and learning lab

Alliant Energy, Black Hills Energy, and Maquoketa Valley Electric Cooperative sponsored accommodations for the annual meeting.
