Tell us about yourself! 

I grew up in Minnesota and attended college in western Iowa. Of the  25 years I spent in the Chamber of Commerce business, years 9-17 were in Clinton. I returned to this community as one of the owners of Howes and Jefferies Realtors. My wife and I have two boys (20 and 25) and I wish I could play more golf! I enjoy getting involved with various activities at our church and helping with The Clinton Lumberkings and other groups that enhance quality of life in our region. 

What inspires you to keep serving on the Foundation board? 

Entities like foundations play an important and under-appreciated role in building quality of life in communities. I most enjoy meeting high school students who  receive scholarships. The world is before them and they are ready!
