Tell us about yourself!

Family and community are important to me. I am married to Tony Meyermann and we have two daughters, Brenna (16) and Brylee (14). We live in Charlotte and enjoy camping with our immediate and extended family.

I accepted the board nomination as the work of LincolnWay is so great, yet so few know how it works and how they can easily be a part of it. I started on the LincolnWay Asset Committee after I was awarded a Leaders Under 40 award around 2010. I was asked to serve on the asset committee to represent Charlotte, Goose Lake and Northeast Schools. I was then asked to serve on the board of directors in 2020.

What inspires you to serve on the foundation board?

Small towns need assistance to bring their great projects to completion. Seeing what LincolnWay has helped with in the past and the possibilities for the future is what keeps my interest piqued.

It has been wonderful to see LincolnWay make grants to organizations beyond DeWitt and into smaller communities across the county. LincolnWay serves all of Clinton County, but routinely has a heavier presence in DeWitt. I am happy to see that more outlying small communities are receiving grants and that even more organizations from northeast Clinton County are applying for grants. It is encouraging knowing that LincolnWay’s story is being heard by more people.
