Lovisa RailstromIT Specialist
A Dubuque native raised in a big, loud, Irish family, Lovisa is excited to give back to a place that has shaped so much of her life. She believes there are many complex barriers and challenges in our world that need to be tackled.
A graduate of the University of Oregon, Lovisa came to the Community Foundation in 2018 as an Americorps VISTA working in communications and development. After completing her year as a VISTA, Lovisa was hired to continue developing powerful strategies for social media, communications, and brand awareness.
She assists in building relationships with community leaders by crafting strategic marketing plans and guiding the development of branding materials. While working for the University of Oregon in both the law and cinema departments, as well as at the Shedd Institute of Music on community productions of Oliver! and On the Town, she recognized the importance of brand management and strong communications in the nonprofit sector. These experiences inspired her passion for helping organizations communicate strategically, creatively and inclusively.
Lovisa enjoys wood burning, reading and digital illustration, and is looking forward to the future with her new wife Tori and their cats Missy, Limpy, Georgie and Sookie.
